About Our Analysts
Rita Glover is President and Principal Analyst of EDA
Today, which she founded in 1994. She has worked electronic
design automation (EDA) for twenty years, and has longstanding
relationships in the industry.
As an analyst, she draws on a breadth of industry experience
serving as a technical communicator and marketing consultant for a
plethora of EDA vendors, large and small.
Ms. Glover is an authoritative source of information on
methodologies for the design of programmable logic devices, printed
circuit boards, and systems. She is a frequent speaker and
panelist at EDA technical conferences, and has focused much
attention on the business and technical challenges surrounding
reusable semiconductor intellectual property, IC verification,
system-level design, and the electronics supply chain. She
contributes often to the EDA-related media in the form of articles,
panels, and quotes.
Rita is also a degreed musician who has gradually moved from
classical flute performance into today's popular, more improvisatory
art forms. She now enjoys playing world music and sitting in
on flute and African percussion in blues bands with other musically
inclined EDA industry peers at trade events.
The rewards of making music with colleagues of all stripes, even
if they're competitors, has solidified her worldview that it's best
to partner, collaborate, and form alliances that capitalize on our
strengths as human beings, corporations, and even countries.
